Exciting News! The Navajo Nation student internet project is back up and progressing. New contractual agreements have been made and work has resumed. One should see workers in the field in the next few days.

Shimá means “my mother” in the Navajo language. Three Navajo women, in partnership with the Navajo Nation Library, team up to offer a grassroots reading program for youth of all ages featuring storytelling, singing and activities in Diné Bizaad (Navajo). Shimá Storytelling, held every other Wednesday via Zoom, began in 2019 with facilitators Radmilla Cody, Pauletta Chief-Lee and Stephanie Littlehat.

Home Internet Project Update: With the end of the 2020 year, the project contract with the developer expired. Consequently it is necessary for the district to pause a moment and set action steps to move forward. We ask for patience as next steps to move forward are developed. Our excitement and commitment to the project has never been stronger.

School Community Council Meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 19th.

As we start into a new quarter, you can reach out to your child's teacher via email and inside of the canvas conference message center. You can also call the school number 435-678-1261 and leave a message for a teacher. Please reach out when you have questions or need help with your child's learning.

We are excited to be offering parenting classes during January and February. We will post links for you to connect virtually or by phone.
Are you struggling with helping your child focus? Do you wonder about best practices for home learning?
Then join us each Wednesday @5:30pm for about 30 mins to learn ways to help your child be successful at home!
Classes will begin Jan. 13 and end Feb. 24.
