We are very excited to see all of our students this Wednesday for the first day of school. To help you arrive safely at school, please refer to this map for available walking routes.Students who walk to or from school can use the routes marked on the map. Student drop-off will still occur at the front of the school and buses will load and unload on the southside of the school. As a reminder, breakfast is served and doors open at 7:45 AM. The bell rings for class at 8:10 AM.

All families can also log on and order a FREE Digital SmileSafe card. If you do not know your student's ID number, please stop by the school. Note that ID numbers cannot be given over the phone. For those who have already ordered pictures, they are not here yet. We will send out another message when pictures are ready to be picked up.

Due to a waterline issue at our school, we will have an early release today. Buses will leave the school at 12:30 today. Please share this information with other parents so all students will be picked up at their bus stops.

Important Message: Our buses will depart MCES later than usual today (Wednesday, Sept. 10) due to a flat tire on the bus taking our 4th graders on a field trip. We’re waiting for the tire to be changed so our students can return safely. We will share an update in 30 minutes or less. We appreciate the SJSD transportation department for ensuring our students’ safety while traveling.
Students being picked up by parents or walking home will be dismissed at 3:00. The afterschool program will operate as usual today.
