Reminder: Any 7th or 8th grader wanting to join Jr High BBB or Jr High Wrestling needs to complete Register My Athlete prior to attending practice. We start practice tomorrow (Jan 7) at 6 am. Jr High BBB will enter by the Concessions and Jr High Wrestling will enter at the Wrestling Room door.
Remember the Senior Parent Meeting is today (Jan 6) at 5:45 pm in the Library. We invite all Seniors and parents to attend the FAFSA Prep Night on Thursday, January 9, from 4:30-7 pm in Room 185, as well. We will help you create your FSA ID so that you can apply for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (and attend college or technical school after high school). Additionally, GEAR UP runs after school tutoring from 3:20-5:50 pm in Room 130 on Mondays-Wednesdays for GEAR Up students. Get the permission form via Curestine Harvey or Dawn Weston.
Join us at the Home Games versus Green River today (Jan 3). JV Boys start at 2:30 pm, then JV Girls, and ending with Varsity Boys. The Senior Parent Meeting is on Monday, January 6, at 5:45 pm. Jr High BBB and Jr High Wrestling practices start on Tuesday, January 7, at 6 am. Jr High Wrestlers need to enter using the west door to Wrestling Room. Jr High BBB will enter using the west door nearest Concessions.
Used Wrestling Mats for Sale. Silent Bids start at $400. The Bid Form may be obtained in the WHS Front Office. Submit bids in a sealed envelope, labeled by the mat number. All proceeds to the WHS Wrestling Program. ***There are 6 mats being sold. The 3rd Quarter starts tomorrow (Friday, January 3) at 8:20 am. ATTENTION: The Annual Parent Climate Conference will be hosted on Wednesday, February 12. This is an opportunitiy for families to observe scholars and staff and give input for next steps. Please register ASAP by texting 801.633.6755 as space is limited.
Tomorrow (December 20) is the last day of 2nd quarter. A big thank you to families who are checking Aspire and working to support their scholars in learning as much as possible (to earn the best grades)! Please encourage your scholar to be in school every day and learn all that is possible. Practice on math homework, reading outside of school, musical exercises, Dine bizaad, and typing all lead to improved grades because grades reflect learning levels. (2nd quarter ends Friday, December 20.)
