UNITY Club is hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Week (October 2-6) with lunch time activities. Jr High Volleyball travels to Moab for a 3:30 pm game today (Oct 2). We also start the October Evaluate and SJSD Math Benchmarks.


The Dress Code part of the Scholar-Behavior Contract everyone signed at Registration. Dress Code is all about scholar attire representing the importance of education. Thank you, parents/guardians, for teaching these expectations at home so that school can be a place of focus on learning with limited distractions! We are resetting the following expectations starting Monday, October 2:
* Clothing needs to cover shoulder to shoulder so that undergarments are NOT showing or exposed.
* Clothing must be long enough to clearly overlap the waistline or stay tucked in the pants/skirt/short cuts.
* Clothing must NOT display profanity, marijuana, alcohol, suggestive slogans or images, drugs, OR imply violence.
* Dresses, skirts, and short cuts must be at least 3-hands from the top of waistband.
* Any rips or tears in pants/short cuts must be lower than 3-hands from the waistband.
* No hoods or sunglasses to be worn in the building.
* No visible cleavage (front or back) and no midriffs/bellies showing.
* No see-through clothing.


We are excited for a safe and fun Homecoming Parade, which starts at 10 am on Friday, September 29 in the WHS Parking Lot! Please remain a safe distance from moving vehicles, remain on floats from start to finish, and positively respond to adult instructions. Be careful when throwing candy so no person is surprised. All school rules apply for the duration of the Parade. (All scholars, including football players, must leave campus at 1 pm when buses depart.)

Join the UNITY Club in spreading Breast Cancer Awareness (October 2-6). Be sure to wear pink on Wednesday, October 4.


Let's get those cowbells over to the Homecoming Game on Friday, September 29, with kick-off at 7 pm and Concessions to support Football. (Today, Sept 28, is home Jr High Volleyball vs MHS at 4 pm and Alumni Football at 6:15 pm with Concessions to support Student Government).


Cross Country travels to Moab today (September 27) and there is a Home Jr High Volleyball vs MV starting at 4 pm.

WHS Student Council presents Alumni Flag Football on Thursday, September 28, at 6:15 pm!


Home Volleyball vs Monticello today (Sept 26), starting at 5 pm, with concessions to benefit Cross Country Team.

Reminder: Eligibility Check is on Friday, September 29. It will take effect on Monday, October 2. Scholar athletes will need to check with their coach for Eligibility Status.

Home Football Game tonight (Sept 22) at 7 pm versus Water Canyon. Concessions to benefit the Junior Class. (Homecoming Week is next week, Sept 25-29, with Powder Puff on Monday, September 25, at 6:15 pm.)


Raiders Football is ready to kick-off at 7 pm tonight (Sept 22). Concessions by the Junior Class. Can anyone say, "More cowbell?"

Get free shoes at USU Blanding Tech Ed Building on Saturday, September 23, from 9 am-noon.



Be sure to hand deliver (or have your scholar hand deliver) the Lifetouch Picture Day packet with money and order form to the Lifetouch personnel working in the Gym today (Sept 21).


Reminder: Picture Day is tomorrow (Sept 21) and the packet with money in it needs to be hand delivered to LifeTouch personnel by the scholar/parent into the Gym. If you need another packet for ordering, the hard copy may be picked up in the Front Office.

We are hosting Safety Week at school September 18-22, to include lessons and activities about saying no to drugs/alcohol, staying mentally healthy, practicing emergency drills, saying no to bullying/cyberbullying, and stopping rumors/gossip.
