We have been made aware of an issue with incoming calls from AT&T cell phones to our system. This is a problem that other businesses are also encountering. The problem is between Frontier and AT&T; they are aware of it and addressing it. We don't have an ETA on the repair.

Dear Parents,
We want you to be aware of an app that many students appear to be using right now which lacks important safety features to protect users from predators, cyberbullying, inappropriate content, and privacy. The Saturn app for iPhone claims to be the ultimate organizer for busy high school students. Once students have an account, they can upload their class schedules and connect with other students in the school. Anyone who signs up for an account can see all the information about everyone else in the school who is on the Saturn app, information like a student’s schedule, including classes and extracurricular groups. To create accounts, the app uses students’ phone numbers, Snapchat accounts, or school emails. Saturn is NOT affiliated with our school district or any of our schools, and we do not provide information or support the use of this app. We encourage you to talk to your student/students about the importance of keeping personal information private for their own safety. Student safety is our top priority.
Thanks for your support.

The SJSD Board of Education and district administration would like to express appreciation to all stakeholders who completed our recent stakeholder surveys. All surveys are viewed and all comments are read. There is great power in receiving such a vast amount of data. Much can be learned from the patterns and consistent themes found in the hundreds of surveys received. This is so helpful to future decisions both at the individual staff member level as well as the school/district level. Again, on behalf of the SJSD Board of Education, thank you. Thank you for investing in your local schools. We value your voice and perspective. We hope to hear from you often. Ahxéhee/Thank you

Dear Parents/Guardians:
We want to hear about your experience with your student’s education. We invite you to participate in completing the Utah School Climate Survey. This survey includes questions about your student’s learning, school safety, and interpersonal relationships, as well as your attitudes about the institutional environment and your personal involvement in school. Your responses will be very helpful in improving student relationships, learning conditions, and the overall school environment.
Beginning today, April 24, 2023, we invite all parents, guardians, and caretakers to complete this survey for our school. The survey is completely anonymous; it contains 33 questions. You can take the survey online by using the following unique school link: SURVEY LINK. Please submit your responses by May 5th.
All your responses are completely anonymous. We have no way to connect you to your answers, and results will only be reported as group responses. There are no right or wrong answers. We just want to know about your personal experiences. Responses are housed securely in an anonymous format with The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) for evaluation research purposes. All evaluation research projects are in compliance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, (343 CFR 99.31 (6)) and human subjects regulations (Protection of Human Subjects 45 CFR 46).
As you respond to each item, think about your own personal experiences as a parent, caregiver, or guardian at your student’s school. Please answer all of the questions. When you have completed the survey, click on the “Next” button at the bottom of the page. You are done! Thank you for your time and opinions.
We hope you will take the time to provide us with this valuable information. Each school’s total survey results will be used to inform and develop appropriate strategies, procedures, and/or programs to enhance our school climate.

After consulting with county roads and watching the weather, the Monticello area will be designating today, Wednesday, March 1st as a virtual learning day. Please check your email for additional information on how to participate in this virtual learning day. Your child's teacher will send an email/Canvas Message by 10 am. If you have not heard from the school by 10 am. Please contact us via email or call the school at (435)678-1130.

Attention Parents, Students, and Stakeholders,
In an abundance of caution and concern for staff and student safety, San Juan School District is designating a “Late Start” on Wednesday, March 1st for all schools in the district (This includes MHS). A “Late Start” means schools will begin at 10AM for all students. For bus students, all buses will arrive 2 hours later than the regularly scheduled time. The storm is forecasted to be in the county for multiple days, so we strongly encourage all stakeholders to frequently monitor the school/district webpage and App for any updates as things progress. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Update:
Due to high winds, power outages, and low visibility for busses today will be designated a "snow day". School will be cancelled for the day. How this day will be made up will be determined in the near future and communicated thereafter.

Due to high winds causing power bumps a late start has been designated for the Monticello area. Busses will run two hours later than their regular scheduled time. School will begin at 10 am and run until regular release times. Look for further communication on the website, by email, or text message.
